Who needs cheese? You won’t be missing it in these 4 delicious cheese-free pizza options. There are more and more dairy free “cheeses” available, some of which specifically sell themselves on their melting properties, so its definitely worth experimenting with those. However, with these 4 pizzas we’ve stuck to unprocessed natural toppings with fresh pestos and vegetables.
1. This Garlic Pizza Bread with Rocket Pesto uses a spelt base and is topped with a simple garlic oil and pesto. This works well as a garlic bread substitute to accompany other meals, or as a pizza in its own right. Serve with a fresh tomato salad.
2. For a quick and tasty Mediterranean option, make a basic pizza dough (or use any of the alternative pizzas bases in these recipes). Once ready , roll out and brush with olive oil. Top with sliced artichoke antipasti, sun-dried tomatoes and sliced olives. Cook for around 10 minutes in a hot oven. Before serving, scatter with a generous amount of sliced fresh tomatoes to balance out the strong flavours in the antipasti.
3. Try something a little different with this Spring Greens Pizza. Using a cauliflower base, topped with freshly baked vegetables, eggs and sprinkled with salad to finish, you can’t help but feel good about this pizza.
4. Finally, this simple Caramelised Onion and Veg Pizza is a perfect quick evening dinner (honestly, it is quick – don’t let making the dough put you off).
